Big Bang é a criação de Philippe Quesne / Vivarium Studio que se seguiu a L’Effet de Serge e La Mélancolie des Dragons, vistos na Culturgest em 2009. Reencontramos o seu teatro laboratorial que se empenha em modificar as convenções do género e cria um universo de contornos incertos, oscilando entre real e artificial, sonho e matéria. Big Bang toma a forma de uma sucessão de quadros, nos quais um pequeno grupo de indivíduos desenvolve a sua teoria da evolução, marcando as ruturas, as invenções, as extinções, assim como as mais estranhas mutações. Big Bang oferece a experiência da realização cénica a fazer-se, montando e desmontando as engrenagens da ilusão nascida da imagem teatral bonitinha.

Big Bang is one of Philippe Quesne / Vivarium Studio’s latest productions, modifying the conventions of the theatrical genre to create a world with blurred outlines that swings between real and artificial, dream and matter. A small group of human beings unfolds its own theory of evolution, marking the ruptures, inventions and extinctions, as well as the strangest mutations. Big Bang offers the experience of a stage production as it is being made, putting up and dismantling the wheels of illusion born of the pretty theatrical image.
