Acreditando na necessidade de contrariar a carência de espaços no nosso país em que se reflita sobre a música do nosso tempo, a Arte no Tempo (associação cultural sem fins lucrativos dedicada à promoção da arte musical contemporânea, responsável por projetos como Omnia Mutantur e Orquestra XXI) inicia uma publicação eletrónica bilingue (em português e inglês) de periodicidade semestral, que será gratuitamente disponibilizada através do site da associação.
Com o projeto Musicografias pretende-se dar a conhecer a música de criadores de mérito reconhecido, sendo o primeiro número dedicado ao tema “Viena XX/XXI”, focando dois momentos distintos da história da música mais recente. Contando com contribuições de Madalena Soveral, Ana Cancela, Marie Luise Maintz, Sergio Bové e Christian Scheib, nele são abordados os compositores Alban Berg, Arnold Schönberg, Peter Ablinger e Beat Furrer.
O lançamento da primeira publicação, que a Culturgest acolhe no seu Pequeno Auditório, contará com a presença do Embaixador da Áustria em Portugal Dr. Thomas Stelzer e do compositor Beat Furrer – um dos compositores mais marcantes do contexto musical vienense das últimas décadas, tanto como docente e fundador do conceituado agrupamento Klangforum Wien, como enquanto criador de uma linguagem inovadora e de um universo musical singular – que debaterá a atualidade musical com os coordenadores do projeto, Pedro Berardinelli e Diana Ferreira, entre apontamentos musicais – de Berg a Furrer – por duas intérpretes verdadeiramente comprometidas com o nosso tempo: a flautista Stephanie Wagner e a pianista Madalena Soveral.

 

 

Convinced that there is a need to counteract the lack of places in Portugal where people can reflect on modern-day music, Arte no Tempo (a non-profit cultural association dedicated to the promotion of contemporary musical art and responsible for such projects as Omnia Mutantur and Orquestra XXI) is set to launch a semiannual bilingual electronic publication (in Portuguese and English), which will be available for free on the association’s website. The project has the name of Musicografias and is designed to promote the work currently being produced by musicians of recognised merit: the first publication will be dedicated to the theme of “Vienna XX/XXI”, focusing on two distinct moments in more recent musical history. Contributors include Madalena Soveral, Ana Cancela, Marie Luise Maintz, Sergio Bové and Christian Scheib, and this issue will discuss the work of the composers Alban Berg, Arnold Schönberg, Peter Ablinger and Beat Furrer.
Culturgest will host the launch of the first publication in its Small Auditorium, featuring the Ambassador of Austria to Portugal Dr. Thomas Stelzer and the composer Beat Furrer – one of the most important composers in the Viennese musical scene over the last few decades, not only as a teacher and the founder of the highly regarded chamber orchestra Klangforum Wien, but also as the creator of an innovative language and a singular musical universe. He will debate the current state of music with the project’s coordinators, Pedro Berardinelli and Diana Ferreira, in a discussion that will be punctuated by music (with compositions ranging from Berg to Furrer) performed by two musicians who are completely committed to the contemporary music world: the flautist Stephanie Wagner and the pianist Madalena Soveral.
